PARTICULAR INSTRUCTIONS

RESTRICTIONS
Special characteristics AD. Airplane and motor-glider pilots must comply with one of the following conditions:
1.To be mountain licensed pilot (Cf arrété of the 31th July 1981).
2.To have been tested in flight, able to use the AD (ground without snow), by a pilot instructor. This pilot instructor will be entitled to instruct with the view to obtain the mountain license. The flight test will be inscribed on the flight book. This capacity will be maintained if the pilot use the AD as captain in a period of six months. If not, a new test will he practised, in the same conditions.

No restrictions of use for HEL.

For single-engined aircrafts operating to common carriage:
To deposit a file at the DAC Centre Est administration. The file will contain the instructions of use, the limitations, the arrival and departure procedures. Note on the operation manual.

For multi-engined aircrafts:
- Operating to private carriage:
Deposit a file at the DAC Centre Est administration. The file will contain the instructions of use, the limitations, the arrivaI and departure procedures, and the procedures in case of engine failure when taking off.

- Operating to common carriage and jet aircrafts:
Deposit a requesting of authorization at the DAC Centre Est administration. The file will contain the operating procedures and a demonstration of take off performances with an engine failure.

Stranger operators will report the authorization of their tutela authority.

USE
Overflying the Station of COURCHEVEL 1850 and MORIOND is prohibited.
Flying circuits: ACFT, ALT 7000 AMSL, HEL, ALT 8000 AMSL. Pilots must transmit their compulsory position reporting messages on auto information frequency.
 

ACFT: Only one take off funnel RWY 05, ARR RWY 23
compulsory.
AFIS open, ARRIVAL directly base leg is recommended W (Moutiers) or N (Bozel), last turn and final.
AFIS closed, W, NW, recognition overhead plateform (circuit non described on the chart), low fly-pass (set altimeter reference), down wind, last turn, final.
 

HEL: Landing compulsory on H plate fom, situated in the south of the RWY. For LDG and TKOF, HEL wilI use axis 140°/320°. TKOFF QFU preferential 140°. LDG QFU preferential 320°.

ARR:
- Abeam North-east "Col de la Loze" (L point) at 8000 ft, then begin the descent to 7000 ft, and follow the route according to the QFU in use.
- Coming from North (N point), after the base leg, direct to C point descending to 7000 ft, and follow the route according to the QFU in use.

DEP: Passing by L and N points.

TKOF: An aircraft will not take off, if an other aircraft is reporting last turn. An HEL will not take off QFU 320, when an aircraft is taking off or in final for landing.

ALTIMETER SETTING: QNH
AFIS open: QNH is given by Courchevel Information.
AFIS closed: Set the altimeter according to the observations when passing overhead platform.

AD Unusable out of RWY and PRKG platform. Avoid repetitive training flying circuits, between 1200 and 1400 (local).
PRKG prohibited in position line up to TKOF
Preferential crashing zone: 020°/2,7 NM/AD, at the bottom of the valley.
Very high snowdrifts can be located on the edges of the RWY

Marking: provisory marks on RWY axis and threshold 23.
- white marks (15 x 0,30) on the axis are spaced of 15 m from the threshold to the platform.
- 3 white marks of 15 x 2 m on each side of the axis at threshold 23.
